BIOGRAPHY

Zaher Alchihabi is a German-Syrian actor. He was born in Aleppo, Syria, in 1986. He completed his economics degree at the University of Aleppo in 2013, while also attending the State Drama School in Aleppo. Zaher had to leave his homeland in 2014 due to the civil war and seek refuge in Germany. He arrived in Germany in July 2015 and quickly adapted to his new environment. He volunteered for a theatre project in Germany and soon started working as a professional actor. He also continued his education as an actor at the Theater Akademie Stuttgart.
Zaher is a versatile artist with a wide range of experience in theatre, film, and advertising. He has appeared on German television (SWR Fernsehen) and received the prestigious Akademie Schloss Solitude grant as an artist in residence (2016). His work has appeared in many national and international festivals including:

Zaher also dubbed the main character in the Spanish film "Sis Dies Corrents" (The Odd-Job Men) by director Neus Ballús into German. The film won numerous national and international awards at festivals including Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Film, Locarno International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and Gaudí Awards.
